SAFETY

Safety is the heart and soul of Nickle, a priority ingrained in our culture. All employees are dedicated to following every process and procedure we have in place to protect the well-being of both employees and customers. Our goal is to send employees home to their families in the same condition they came to work. Nickle ensures its employees are working safely by conducting weekly safety audits, frequent toolbox talks, ongoing training, stretch and flex, and following a behavioral-based safety program. Starting from a new employee’s orientation, safety training and education take priority before work begins. From day one, we make sure all employees have access to these training sessions and can reach them anytime, anywhere. There is also an established Safety Committee for both company locations with field and office employee involvement. All employees utilize Stop Work Authority, which means everyone is allowed to intervene when they observe behavior that is less than acceptable. Whether a senior manager or high school co-op, all employees have the right to stop work and correct an unsafe behavior if it will potentially save someone from injury, or worse. We take pride in employee dedication to safety, not just at work, but their commitment to bring that same level of safety home to their family, proving that Nickle has truly instilled a culture of safety in each employee.
