Project Manager

Mid-Atlantic Region Full-Time

Oversee projects from planning through completion, ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provide project management support across several small-to-large projects in support of senior project management and the Director of Commercial Construction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide initial client contact to assess scope, schedule, and resources
  • Prepare complete estimates with detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid forms
  • Plan and organize projects; establish objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • Prepare and negotiate change orders with Director approval
  • Monitor construction with Foremen and Field Superintendent to keep projects on schedule and budget
  • Maintain strong liaison with owners and General Contractors (GC), resolving concerns within a 24-hour target
  • Coordinate pre-construction and post-project review meetings
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and manage the financial aspects of contracts (billing, equipment, income/expenses)
  • Review field labor reports weekly and correct discrepancies
  • Conduct site visits to ensure safe work and OSHA compliance
  • Manage job closeout procedures and ensure collection of retainages
  • Lead and develop employees through performance management, feedback, and recognition

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Journeyman License in Delaware or completion of 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship
  • 3-5 years as an Electrical Project Manager or similar role in commercial, institutional, and industrial settings
  • Experience managing projects from $100,000 to $5 million
  • Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, and industry standards
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes
  • OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR certified
  • Daily Tri-State travel capability

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Primarily a stationary office role with constant computer use and occasional movement to access files and equipment. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and tour job sites in varied weather. Protective equipment required on site.
